Is it actually STS-115?
Well I think that the predominant solar arrays have to be the P4. The russian segment juts out to the left. The shuttle is therefore just half way around its fly around. So its a fantastically unique situation to be captured in this way. You can just see the P6 arrays coming out of the top of the silhouette.
WOW This is AMAZING! I've seen photos whit planes in front of moon and sun, but this beats everything! I wonder whether this image was taken accidentally... ? How can somebody do such exact calation... ?
Transits of the ISS across the sun's and moon's disk are common and happen everyday along lines around the world. While this shows more impressive timing, coming right after undock, this is not the first time such a photo has been taking, though it is the sharpest I have seen.
