It's Tony De La Rosa, ...I don't create this stuff, I just report it.

Not promoted much. Been looking for it everywhere. It finally popped up on my Amazon recommendations for blu ray.

It is a sober, subdued, slow-paced documentary, put together in a very classical way. The good thing about it are the interview segments with Janet A. and the fact that it contained no glaring errors. On the downside I don't think it contributes much of interest to those who have read the authorized biography ("First Man") and who know most of the film and TV clips of Armstrong.

Squeezing Armstrong's life into 1 hour 45 minutes means that most subjects are dealt with rather hastily and superficially. I guess there is no getting around that. I also ended up slightly irked by the fact that we are never really told or shown why he was, in fact, an exceptional person.

For people who know very little about Armstrong this would be a great introduction to his life. It does correct the dour, humour-less Armstrong of "First Man" (the movie), which was such a wasted opportunity IMO.

For those who have read books and watched media about Armstrong already this documentary does not bring much to the table. Armstrong remains a slightly enigmatic figure after watching this movie and that's perhaps not so bad.
