Today, while checking what's new among latest startup initiatives, I found this one:

Apparently it has a lot of potential, as it's more than halfway funded. What I love about it is that it focuses too much on outreach and popularization of space. I'll keep an eye on it.

Update: Today, after some last-minute drama, this Kickstarter initiative got fully funded. It got support from 101 backers, who will have the chance to send personal items to space - rings, mini-towels, printed names or messages, digital names.

Now, after funding is secured, it gets interesting.

Apparently, the primary plan to launch this toy Death Star is via United Frontiers rocket. This is the website of the rocket company:

The creator plans to send its Death Star to space on the maiden flight of its rocket. From what I understand, they're still on track for December 2019 flight.
