EVA 23 Documentary
« on: 09/27/2018 12:26 pm »
Anyone know how to see this documentary?

I've tweeted Space City Films (no answer after several weeks), and googled everywhere I can think of.

That seems to be a different film. It looks quite different from the Space City Films version.

It's Tony De La Rosa, ...I don't create this stuff, I just report it.

Discussion on Robert's site also lead to a dead-end:

Did you miss the EVA 23 premiere? No worries! We are currently showing the film at Space Center Theater as part of your general admission.

Space City Films’ documentary, recounts Luca Parmitano’s spacewalk that was cut short when water began leaking into his helmet, nearly drowning him. The movie discusses why it happened, how he responded and what NASA has learned about working in low Earth orbit.

Space Center Houston https://spacecenter.org > Space Center Theater is a five-story tall 4K resolution theater that shows EVA 23 and Mission Control: The Unsung Heroes of Apollo.

This documentary was recently played in full as part of a virtual NASA lecture which you can still access at the above link at the time of this post.

Learned a lot from both the doc and the lecture.  The story of Luca in the airlock was especially harrowing.

Thank you so much for letting me know about this. That was VERY interesting, and I learned a lot for sure. I would really like to get my hands on a decent copy of the EVA23 video. I'm not really sure what NASA is doing with it.

Are they doing any more presentations like that? Is it a periodic thing? Can anyone get in to see them?
