Parachute qualification and abort system qualification are the two big ones that we know about publicly.
IIRC the supersonic chute failures were due to the chute material shredding, not line failures.
Down in @PortCanaveral today. Go Searcher with a practice capsule and...astronaut?😂 Octagrabber on OCISLY and both Ms tree and Ms Chief have nets! *cheers* #SpaceX #SpaceXFleet
Scoop: SpaceX plans to static fire Crew Dragon's new SuperDraco system on Nov. 2 in Florida at LZ-1, people familiar tell me.The test will be closely watched, as SpaceX looks to show it fixed the issue from the Demo-1 capsule explosion in April.
Test of Crew Dragon’s upgraded launch escape system ahead of static fire and in-flight abort tests – altogether we are conducting hundreds of tests to verify the system's advanced capabilities to carry astronauts to safety in the unlikely event of an emergency
So any idea why the super draco seems to sputter a bit in the middle of the firing? Planned mix change?
Upcoming milestones at @NASAKennedy according to Science Tech #NAC meeting:SpX In-Flight Abort - Early Dec.Boeing OFT - NET 12/17/19Gateway Logistic Contract Award.
Bob Cabana says to Science Tech #NAC meeting that there's "still a ways to go with both #Boeing and #SpaceX for certification." Parachute cert is key for both and SpX #Dragon abort engines. Roughly 6-8 months likely for crew flights, he says.
Update: SpaceX's static fire of Crew Dragon is slipping to Nov. 6 (a week from tomorrow), a person familiar tells me.The critical test is still planned to happen at Cape Canaveral's LZ-1.
Kathy noting aggressive parachute testing - 12 tests in 2-3 weeks. All should be done by December for certification for flight in 1st Quarter 2020. #HEO #NAC #SpaceX #Dragon #Falcon9

NASA’s Kathy Lueders says SpaceX’s Demo-2 mission — the first Crew Dragon with astronauts — is trending toward a first quarter 2020 launch readiness date. Parachute testing progressing at a fast pace.
Kathy: Demo-2 now capable of longer mission. Doing assessment if we want to extend Demo2 to longer mission. All depends on ISS crew. Might be something we want to do. Looking at it. Doing assessments so if we want to do it, we're ready." #HEO #NAC #SpaceX #Dragon

SpaceX’s Crew Dragon explosion response praised by NASA in new briefingBy Eric RalphPosted on November 1, 2019During a recent NASA council meeting, SpaceX’s response to a Crew Dragon capsule’s April 20th explosion was repeatedly praised by the agency’s senior Commercial Crew Program (CCP) manager, her optimism clearly rekindled after several undeniably challenging months.
Shireman confirms that SpaceX will be performing a static fire of Crew Dragon next week.It is currently expected to be on November 6th per range critical support periods.
