Here's the latest satellite image of the thunderstorms. The tops are been blown off that's the errodeding that they are talking about.

No, tops being blown off can help strengthen the storms. What you're seeing is the spreading of the anvils downwind.

rdale, how likely, in your opinion, do you think the weather WILL cooperate for launch?

I'm feeling pretty good. By Florida summertime thunderstorm standards - the fact that we're still good to go at this point is very promising :)

I moved my formal updates to the UPDATE thread now that we're getting closer, but for feelings, the high clouds following the storms will be a big benefit. As we're seeing west of Orlando, something could still pop, but that's more "popcorn" action than anything organized. Popcorn gives us a chance. Organized wouldn't.

There's still one pesky little storm drifting toward the pad, but there should still be time for it to get clear.

So, the NASA-SpaceX astros are Bob and Doug?

So the liftoff message is going to be, "Take off you hosers!"

Eventually, CSA will launch one of their astronauts on Crew Dragon.

That little cell I've been watching is dissipating rapidly.  Almost gone and clear out to Orlando after that.

Looks like the NSF servers are under a lot of load starting to get error screens

I'm sad that it looks like we'll lose visuals of the launch early on from these rain clouds. Historical events need good visuals recorded for posterity.

The radar beam is now bending back to Earth because of the stable airmass behind the storms - and is hitting the pad!

Dunno about the rest of you, but my heartbeat picked up when they verified the LES has been armed. Starting to feel like a real crew flight, folks.

Is that bad in terms of launch weather?

It's good - the air is stable which means it doesn't support thunderstorms.

Throughout all 3 streams there is 2.4 million viewers at T-35 and still climbing, FH had 2.2 million at its peak

Probably some double counting going on. For FH there was basically just the SpaceX stream...
You want to be inspired by things. You want to wake up in the morning and think the future is going to be great. That's what being a spacefaring civilization is all about. It's about believing in the future and believing the future will be better than the past. And I can't think of anything more exciting than being out there among the stars.
