My guess is that a "hardware readiness" type review would be prior to the Launch Readiness Review (which happens after static fire?).

And, 3Q starts in July, so yeah, 3rd Qtr. sounds logical.

Have a good one,
Mike

Hardware readiness basically means being at the point where they were in December for DM-1. When Mike Pence visited LC-39A, there pictures of the interior of the HIF and we saw the entire rocket already prepared and the Crew Dragon next to it with everything in it and with a completed trunk and all of that. I would expect DM-2 to follow a similar timeline or probably maybe a bit longer considering the reviews involve also a crew inside the capsule, you know.

If you all are correct, then it means that readiness review is probably going to lead to the update referenced by HASA in a couple of weeks.

Was there any info on the planned timing of flight events for DM-2 ?
Specifically:
How long will be time between launch and docking with ISS ?

I am not seeing the obvious question here. How far is this mission going to slip due to the recent anamoly?

I'd guess somewhere between 6 months and 2 years.

Have a good one,

No one knows. It depends on what caused the anomaly, which hasn't been determined yet (or at least not publicly revealed.) If something has to be redesigned, it might be a while. If it was a faulty component or procedural error, then a relatively small delay.

What does that mean 'no non-critical tests'?

Every upcoming test is "critical"
If there is an anomaly/issue with any upcoming test - it will have impacts (schedule).

SFN Launch Schedule, updated 6/18/2019, has the SpX-DM2 launch NET November 2019.

This is probably based on the DM-2 comms paperwork that was filed couple of days ago and was good from 2019-11-01 to 2020-05-01. The NET is technically correct, but note the 6 mo "window".

Mods please feel free to move this to a discussion thread once one is available.

AIUI, it's not a "6-month-window", it's a standard period when the license is valid.

Is there any work, other than post-launch refurbishments and "de-installing" the Falcon Heavy hardware, that needs to be performed to prepare 39A for the Dragon IFA DM2 launch?

Or, for that matter, for any other Falcon 9 launches?

EDITed: Dragon IFA will launch from 39A before DM2.

“nearly complete”
Not really news except the confirmation that it is not yet complete.
What kind of wastrels would dump a perfectly good booster in the ocean after just one use?

The latest photos in the update thread make the interior look really cramped, almost claustrophobic. But that's just because the display panel is flipped down right in their faces.  It's going to be really fun when they're in zero-g and they have things stowed, how much room two guys will have to float around.

Do the displays still move?  I thought that changed.

"really cramped, almost claustrophobic".
Their expressions make it look real, not just a publicity shot.

Looks like you're right, I forgot they did that.  But it is tucked back now a lot more than when it flipped down, so when they're out of their seats, they'll have plenty of room.
