Also, what seems to be some processing area's/whiteroom (?) on the deck and a Dragon lifting boom on the rear end. Nice!

For illustration, similar lifting rig in action on the Pacific recovery ship:

If it was a tractor beam emitter, we would have seen the prototype on Mr Steven to guide the fairing halves in.  ::)

GO Searcher spotted with what looks an awfull lot like an added Helideck!  Quick return to shore for the Astros?

More likely a structure support frame for the fabric enclosure/hangar like on the West Coast recovery ship to protect recovered Dragon against sea spray and the sun.

No, its clearly for Dragon propulsive landing ASDS-style  ;D

Or it could be for a heli to rapidly bring assistance/support in the event of an off-nominal decent that puts the Dragon far away from GO Searcher.

The video is of Go Navigator not Go Searcher.

Isn't that GO Searcher moored up behind it?

Anyway if that's not a helideck I'd be pretty surprised. I've misspent spent some years on offshore support vessels and platforms, looks to me like that's helipad perimeter safety netting.  I think it's been folded up along one side but deployed normally at the aft. Maybe it serves a dual purpose, pad/ hangar roof? There are better photos on Facebook but I'm not sure the etiquette on sharing that kinda thing...

If Go Searcher is getting a helipad, can an attempt to snag the fairing in flight a-la the Fulton system? They used to do this all the time with Corona film re-entry capsules.

There's been quite a bit of discussion on that in the FSV Mr. Steven thread.

Could this be for recovering a returned 2nd stage on Go Searcher? SpaceX has been talking about returning them for study, not for reuse.

HELIPAD ;D

Yes, that was to be expected. No way NASA would want the crew of a returned Crew Dragon to spend 2 to 3 days sailing back to land after splash-down.
NASA will want the astros to be back in JSC pronto.

Can they get the helo flight from small craft deck under 1 in 270 risk of LOC?

What I can't make out is how much room is left aft of the helipad. Is there enough room to lift Dragon on deck or will they remove the..um..Dragon Lift?..and move it to another ship?
