Russia launched the third Bars-M mapping satellite at 0803 UTC from Plesetsk on a Soyuz-2-1a rocket. The satellite entered a 337 x 557 km x 97.7 deg sun-sync orbit with 23:47 local time orbital plane and was given the cover name Kosmos-2556..
