The Titanium grid fins worked really great. Super expensive and production is slow. Most important to recover.

Chris G getting in about 3 or 4 questions to Elon at the end of the presser.

Like a boss.  ;D

I'm glad some BFR and fairing recovery questions got in there, and the confirmation of hops from probably Brownsville next year.... wow.

That likely means 2020 by the earliest.  But still that would be a huge accomplishment.

Fairing recovery is going to really enable a higher flight rate.

So many things going on with Block 5, FH and Crew Dragon, but revenue wise fairing recovery would be a huge bonus.
Starship, Vulcan and Ariane 6 have all reached orbit.  New Glenn, well we are waiting!

Congrats to Chris G on his amazing Falcon Heavy coverage. He's been on top of everything, and that Falcon Heavy static fire scope was legendary. Oh, and I also loved the amount of questions he snuck in at the end there.

Finally, thanks to Chris B and all involved with the servers for working so hard to keep this site online during the whole thing. THE SERVER HAMSTERS SURVIVED.

Still 10 months out, but it'll be an outrage if a photo of Starman doesn't make the cover of TIME magazine's year-end issue for 2018. So iconic.

Sadly had to miss the start of the show, but managed to catch up by the start of the presser.

Congratulations to SpaceX on being absolutely amazing !!! I'm barely starting to be not speechless after viewing that launch and landing.
Sad the centre core didn't make it but oh well, without any room for improvement it wouldn't be an experiment !

Congratulations to Chris G for getting that magnificent last question(s?) in ! They were great questions too !
Finally thanks to Chris B and all his team for making this awesome website for us space fans to share our excitement and be able to follow everything from half the way around the world ! ;D

I'll go back to picking up my jaw from the floor !  ;)

I watched today at work on my phone with a cluster of non-space fan types ("muggles") all standing around watching over my shoulder. Great to see so much excitement and interest about the launch of a new rocket!

And what a launch it was! The extended startup-and hold-down sequence compared to a single-stick launch, and the bat-out-hell acceleration were dramatic and awe-inspiring. Heavy is a best compared to anything flying today.  Congrats to SpaceX on a successful launch, successful (and also amazingly dramatic!) synchronized booster landings and successful orbital insertion. I've been watching Starman riding in style all evening! Here's to a successful "TMI" (sort of) in a bit under two hours, and to many more succeful flights to come.

Congrats as well to the Eastern Range, the KSC support folks, and the FAA, and thanks to NSF's unparalleled coverage (hamster revolt on the servers notwithstanding). It's been a great day for a space fan.

What a great job by SpaceX and the NSF team.

This site sets the standard.

The coverage and photos are fantastic.

I’m in awe that this launch finally happened and worked as advertised (minus the ASDS landing.
