Congrats to all at SpaceX - been a long time coming but so worth the wait.

Don't panic FH 2nd stage! You still have 6 hours of work to do!  ;)

The 2nd burn should have been completed by now. Don't panic!

Congrats on a really awesome launch! Really was sweating it the last 10 minutes of the count. The shot of the two boosters landing looked out of science fiction but it looked great.

The announcer clearly states We lost the center core:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbSwFU6tY1c?t=38m25s

on the countdown net.
But would that be how they'd actually call it out? Then again it wouldn't be the standard callout for loss of camera feed either.

That. Was. Amazing.

The launch, the details on the car, the landing, even the blue sky was picture-perfect.
Pity that the center core was lost, but this is a massive success nonetheless.

Congratulations to everyone at SpaceX for this amazing show!

Congratulations to SpaceX and everyone involved. Amazing to launch on the first attempt and get the boosters back. Here's hoping the center core made it too. History was made today!

Just incredible.  That sight of the two boosters landing together was like sci-fi magic!  Simply an amazing sight!!

Wish I could have joined everyone in Florida for this, but couldn't get away. At least we had CNN on at work on the big TV, and to their credit, CNN gave us about 5+ minutes with no talking.

Congratulations SpaceX on an historic flight!!

Congratulations to SpaceX and all their employees, vendors, support, to the Range, etc.

Fantastic test flight.  Totally blown away watching the two side boosters land in tandem.

Glad I got to watch it here on NSF - whose servers stayed up, even if they showed the heavy load from time to time...

it reportedly missed the Droneship but not by much per:

My congratulations to the THOUSANDS of people who had to come together to make this possible - from all of the Gov't agencies, to the TEL welders, to the SpaceX'ers actually on duty: Bravo! Today you helped humanity take another incremental step towards a brighter tomorrow.

On a quick side-note: How funny is it that many of us (myself included) are saddened over the loss of the Center Core when only 2 years ago no one would have expected any landings, and would have just been thrilled to see Starman and the Roadster in orbit! Oh how quickly our expectations change...  ::)

Finally, thanks to NSF staff and posters for all the great info/spoilers, updates, and coordination.

It sounds to me like he was referring to the signal from the core.

(This is all supposed to be Updates until mission is completed, y'all...)
