Congrats to SpaceX and everyone else involved on a picture-perfect re-launch and re-landing. Recycling rockets and spacecraft sure is the new hotness!

Great images as always from John, but the last one ...

Quote
Launched and landed! #SpaceX launched #Falcon9 and #Dragon — each flying for the second time — at 10:36am this morning. Dragon is on its way to the @Space_Station! This was the 17th SpaceX flight of the year, 4th booster reuse, 20th successful booster landing overall. #CRS13

Congratulations to the launch campaign team, and thank you to the several contributors to today's launch thread coverage!

As always, I appreciate the thread coverage--I missed the launch this morning due to work commitments.

Here's a few from the VAB roof.

Remotes at 1:00 after the post-launch.

Congratulations to all involved for another flawless launch and landing, and glad to see LC-40 back up and running.  For me, the most memorable moment of this one was the rocketcam shot showing Falcon's own contrail as it returned.
The Space Age is just starting to get interesting.

NASA: Great launch.  Deja vu from six months ago watching another Dragon go on this very same booster.

Praise for reuse booster.

ISS in good shape.  Crew ready for Dragon at 7a EST on Sunday.

Jessica (SpaceX): Fantastic way to end east coast launches.  Started with CRS-10 - which was first off new LC-39A.  Not we end with CRS-13 on newly reactivated SLC-40.  Great bookend.

Thanks to NASA with schedule.

Jessica:  Also thanks Pad-40 team.  Challenge for launch dates, so teams had to work super hard to make sure we launched today.  Air Force, FAA.... everyone who helped this pad.

Pad Director CONFIRMS everything looks GREAT in post-flight.  Much faster turnarounds in future.

Jessica now overviewing Dragon.

Nominal orbit.  SAs deployed.  HNC bay door opening is next.

Booster is back at LZ-1

Performance of Booster and Dragon were nominal.  NO difference.  Nothing odd seen.

Found particulate in S2 fuel tank.  Able to flush is all out.  Verify all filters in place and in tanks on F9 booster.

Hadn't realized how much I missed watching these!  I set up the technical broadcast for my physics class, and did the commentary.  It's not often you see teenagers wide-eyed like that.  Thank you and congrats, SpaceX!

Dragon is returning mid-January.  Looking at on orbit activities and amount of time for research.

Dragon 1 is precursor to Crew Dragon.   How they work with NASA to test.  Have to make sure it safe.

Doesn't know what was discussed at the ASAP.

NASA will use case-by-case basis for future CRS mission using flight-proven boosters with SpaceX.

What do you like most, launch or landing?

NASA: Dragon arrivals (laughs)

SpaceX: Launch.  Without that, you don't get landing.

Washed or not washed.

Not sure where we are will serial numbers.  Most won't be painted.  But some might be.

Yes, in future we do have boosters for three times or more.  Don't now if there's one currently planned.
