Congratulations SpaceX on a great launch under extra pressure.  In a way I enjoyed being able to focus on the returning booster - I really REALLY want to travel down there for a live launch -and landing! (Used to live in FL during the Shuttle era, I do miss driving to the coast to see those  :-\ )

Congratulations to SpaceX, USAF and Boeing; Not getting all bothered by a little hurricane barreling in and eating up backup launch date, or sun throwing out some flares. Almost could call it routine, but never boring.

 Gen. Jay Raymond‏ @AFSpaceCC

"Congratulations @45thSpaceWing and @SpaceX on a successful launch (and landing!) of the Falcon 9 rocket carrying OTV-5 into orbit"

That looks like great news!  Congrats to all involved.  Oh, and for little X-37B, have fun up there, see you in a few years!

Congratulations, SpaceX.

This was a 'no pressure, right?' launch - an important, non-standard payload; the (apparent) second flight of a block-IV core; with a deadline to hit and a hurricane lurking in the distance.

They launched on-schedule, at the top of the window and made it look pretty routine. Another landing in the middle of the X.

A job well done.

Falcon 9 is starting to move into 'workhorse' territory, building a launch record at an impressive pace that will hopefully put the memories of failure behind it, particularly when they get back to operating from LC40.

To earn a reputation as a reliable and flexible launch provider is going to be a massive achievement for them.

In the short term, the recovery crews have a big job to do to get the stage horizontal and undercover - and then get themselves to safety.

A good day for SpaceX; and here's hoping that in a week's time there won't be any lasting damage to facilities or staff that will upset the impressive cadence.

Congrats to SpaceX and the USAF on launching OTV-5 on the first try!

Imagine what it would've been like if the mission was scrubbed and Hurricane Irma extended that delay.

But that's nothing to worry about because Falcon 9 performed as advertised!

Well done SpaceX & Boeing, and congratulations to the USAF on another step towards rapid redundant and responsive launch services.

Here's hoping everyone in the area makes it through the hurricane safe, and the Cape does as well.

Impressive performance, everybody keeping their cool and proceeding with the launch despite Irma marching up the coast towards them.
Have to say I love these DoD launches where you get all the 1st stage telemetry. Crazy to see the stage still doing 1000km/hr whilst only 5km above the pad. Just think how exciting it must be on a GTO launch with three engine landing burn.
