Vector Space Systems' virtual satellite patent

So their new invention is to run a virtual machine on a processor...in space?

sounds like it, but could have other implications in which say the main science processing and data computer could be on the main host satellite and have free flying helper sats with different instrument suites flying in formation and relaying the raw data for analysis and transmission via the host sat. That would make exploring another planet easier as only the Host sat would need deep space comm capabilities.

That sounds something like the DARPA F6 program that was cancelled about 4 years ago.

Trying not to spam, but I noticed this thread after I posted in the launch thread.  I posted a question about the connection between the scamcurrency developed by Cantrell's son and Vector in that thread.  It might be more appropriate for this one though???
