And congratulations to the entire launch campaign team for all eight of the Iridium Next launches!

75 1 ton-class satellites in orbit in less than two years for $6m per sat, 4 landings and 4 relaunches. Iridium is a great example of what these new launchers can do.
Which booster has the most soot? SpaceX booster launch history!

Wonder if it irks Elon that Bezos's methalox BE-4 has more thrust than Raptor?

As OT as how much Bezo's is probably irked by how comparatively cheap Musk got off in his first & second divorces.

Holy Hell!!!  Bezos is irked by how comparatively cheap Britain got off in its divorce from the EU. (Reportedly estimated at 40B vs. his 52B

Who is bocachicagalCowboy Dan?  Has something happened we weren't informed of?

And more importantly, which side do pick if you have to side with Rain Walker or Photo Driver?  This could get ugly.

Once again it has been separated.
You cheated and drove there. Real photographers walk through the rain.

Apparently you haven't crossed into proper space until you've reached the Lego Line (tm).

That video is really confusing. You can't build a lego tower taller than about 3,600m* before the force deforms the pieces at the bottom. So the lego line is 3.6km, which isn't space, or if it is I've been to space by walking up a mountain.

So does that make me a lego spaceman? /confused ;)

1) You're assuming that only standard plastic bricks count as LEGO elements
2) You're assuming that LEGO composites with other materials aren't allowed
3) You're excluding the possibility of an active structure, such as a pressure-stabilized tower or "LEGO Fountain"
4) You're excluding the possibility of an exponential "pancake tower", where the middle is essentially a structureless goo made of crushed LEGO elements

I think only 3) could actually hit 100km, but the others could exceed 3.6km.
All aboard the HSF hype train!  Choo Choo!

You have to be careful not to crush the middle into neutron LEGO or you might end up with a black LEGO.

Hey about the BFH: Please IGNORE my complaint about the engines pointing up instead of down in the LA Times photo. It turns out I was just holding the newspaper upside down.

This box was lowered into the hopper. It was brought back out after a while. The second pic is what they brought out of the hopper. At first it was hard to tell what they had hanging. ;D

I dunno.  Does it?

Good deduction but no, that's not me. The cousins ended up with all my lego, well all that wasn't consumed by the hoover.

As for what is being pulled out of the space hopper (please can we start calling it that) that is definitely a Strandbeest.

Let's not go too far down the who is more obese rathole ok? Thanks!

(I might have had one or more donuts more than is optimal, just saying, but that's not why we shouldn't go there)

Just great Lar. You made me spill my tea all over the keyboard.  ;)
Yea but was it sugar free?

In other news I completely missed the LEGO elements subthread here.

I wrote an answer on Quora long ago about towers.

3.6km? No freakin' way... crushed well before that.

Ok lets just assume I was building my tower in Denver.

Apparently the artist's concept of Relativity at LC-16 is that they're going to take over SpaceX's Pad 40.
