I don't see the Mars Society convention listed. Paul Wooster from SpaceX will be one of a fairly interesting list of speakers and topics.

Here's hoping he doesn't just repeat the IAC 2017 talk, like he did the last two times he presented at conferences.

I hear those things are awfully loud. It glides as softly as a cloud. What's it called? Monowhale!

Hi, everyone.

Wanted to make sure the upcoming American Astronautical Society's 2018 von Braun Symposium was on everybody's radar.

Full information is on the website (http://bit.ly/2wxO7Jr), but here are some highlights:

The symposium takes place October 23-25 at the University of Alabama in Huntsville and registration is open, but we're getting close to capacity.

Featured speakers include:
- Jim Bridenstine, NASA Administrator
- Josh Brost, SpaceX
- John Elbon, United Launch Alliance
- Eileen Collins, Astronaut (Ret.), Colonel, USAF (Ret.)
- Mary Lynne Dittmar, Coalition for Deep Space Exploration
- Mike Griffin, U.S. Department of Defense
- Jim Reuter, NASA Headquarters
- Harrison Schmitt, Apollo 17 Astronaut (Ret.), U.S. Senator (Ret.)
- Jody Singer, NASA Marshall Space Flight Center
- Julie Van Kleeck, Aerojet Rocketdyne
- Bobby Watkins, NASA Marshall Space Flight Center
- Vanessa E. Wyche, NASA Johnson Space Center
And many others.

The Wernher von Braun Memorial Symposium features panel discussions and guest speakers reflecting government, industry, academia, business and international perspectives on space exploration. The Symposium is organized by AAS in conjunction with The University of Alabama in Huntsville and the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center.

Thanks!

JW
