A CZ-11 will launch several small sats (Xiaoxiang-2 to 5 / TY-2 to 5) on September 15, 2017, including an X-ray detector satellite (TY-4), an amateur astronomical satellite (TY-3) and two new technology test satellites (TY-2, TY -5).
The satellites will be launched from Jiuquan to a 500 km altitude orbit at 97.4 degrees.

My understanding is that Xiaoxiang 1 was TY 1 (launched on 9 November 2016 on the second CZ-11). Does anyone know what TY stands for?

I think, this "Zhou Enlai" satellite built by the Huai'an Youth Comprehensive Development Base might be the "Huaian" satellite we have in the launch manifest.
The Chinese articles talk about it as [ "Huai'an hao" Enlai xing weixing ] “淮安号”恩来星卫星

These are the satellites on the launch. The XX ones are one combined satellite called Xiaoxiang-2.
Still waiting for confirmation on which Kepler sat was launched. The original official release has been deleted. Looks like that might be because it stated the wrong Kepler.Edit: It is in fact Kepler (KIPP)

Extended article from Xinhua
China launches 2 remote sensing satellitesJIUQUAN, Jan. 19 (Xinhua) -- China launched two high-resolution optical remote sensing satellites into a preset orbit from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China at 12:12 p.m. Friday Beijing Time.
The two commercial satellites, Jilin-1 Video 07 and 08, were independently developed by Chang Guang Satellite Technology Co. Ltd., and will provide remote sensing data and products for government and industry users in conjunction with the eight previously launched Jilin-1 satellites.
In October 2015, four Jilin-1 commercial satellites were sent into space. In January 2017, Jilin-1 Video 03 was launched, and Jilin-1 Video 04, 05, and 06 were put into predetermined orbits in November last year.
Friday marked the fourth launch for the Jilin-1 satellite family and the satellites were carried by a Long March-11 rocket. This was the 264th mission of the Long March rocket series.
It was also the
100th aerospace launch mission carried out by the Jiuquan center. Established in 1958, the center was China's first comprehensive space launch center and the only manned space launch center.

The launch tube certain puts out lots of smoke when the CZ-11 pops out!
It is the cold start ejection system. most launchers/missiles that use cold start method are like that. You see the ejection cover for the first stage flying out to the side like most modern missiles. This rocket uses gas supplies provided by the mobile launcher rather than an ejection canister.

This launch was announced at the beginning of this year. There is also a second designation ISL22
https://www.isispace.nl/isis-12th-anniversary/
Interesting. The ISL22 component is the Kepler prototype cubesat. Makes me suspect the mysterious Demosat-2 on
the PSLV launch, also brokered partly by ISL, is the other Kepler prototype.

Launch code "01-88". Start time - 12:12:49.784 BJT (04:12:49.784 UTC)
So, we have a missing launch code. AFAIK, the code 01-87 isn't confirmed for the previous Jiuquan launch, LKW 3.

If we assume that LKW-3 launch code was "01-86", the launch corresponding to "01-87" could have been delayed and could reappear for one of the next JSLC launches. Worth noting that LKW-4 launch has been delayed: that launch could show up as "01-87"..

For the record, the rocket for this launch is indeed CZ-11 s/n Y3.
Also for the record, Jilin-1-08 was also given the name
Jilin Linye 2 (
"Linye" means forestry; Linye 1 is Jilin-1-03).

So do we have any better understanding now of the CZ-11 upper stages?
My understanding vaguely is:
- it has 4 stages
- the 4th stage is solid, not a liquid post boost stage
Is that correct, wrong, or unknown?

As far as I read, this seems to be correct. Check out the diagram of the launcher I posted (from a Chinese forum post) in the CZ-11 first flight thread.
