Looks like a new/updated article up already: https://www.nasaspaceflight.com/2018/01/spacex-static-fire-falcon-heavy-1/. You guys are fast
From the article:
Given the dynamic and new nature of Falcon Heavy’s engine start sequence and initial run, it was understood that the static fire was to last an impressive 12 seconds – much longer than the customary three to seven second duration range as has been used on flight proven booster mission (of which Falcon Heavy has two flight proven boosters) static fires and missions of national security importance. This appeared to be the duration during the actual firing.

Falcon Heavy hold-down firing this morning was good. Generated quite a thunderhead of steam. Launching in a week or so.
10:35 AM - 24 Jan 2018
Wow, that was a quick data review.
A week or so!!!
I will take the over and under on "so"

Onward to launch!!!!

A week or so = Just after GovSat 31 Jan but before the 10 Feb Paz at Vandenberg. Hopefully they schedule for the 4-5th so that they can get it launched before another Gov shutdown.

Yeah. No way they've done a visual inspection yet, but obviously they've looked at all of the chamber pressures, etc., and they like what they see in the data.

In many cases the hold downs have strain gauges to monitor loads so you could actually calculate thrust amounts achieved. Plus use of the strain gauges allows the determination if there are any serious torques at startup and any thrust asymmetrical occurrences.

No doubt they have a ton of instrumentation on the vehicle/pad to review. Which makes Elon's quick announcement of a green light for launch all the more impressive.

After waiting this long, who cares? I mean really, none of us has an immediate stake in the outcome, so it's just pure entertainment.
They will launch when they launch - just relax and enjoy the show!

They should launch during half time of the Super Bowl. That'd be some good alternate entertainment.

FYI, the CR funds the federal government through the end of day, February 8. Shutdown would begin at midnight, Friday, February 9.

It's good to be sceptical. Not so good to be cynical

I prefer to be on the first side. I don't believe that FH will launch after a week. But we've waited for so long - a week, two weeks or a month would make no difference.

Exactly.
Don't get me wrong. I will be on the Cape or KSC to be at the closest allowable point to see the launch.

If the over-under is a second shy of 8 days, you're not gonna get any takers; I might be interested in taking the under on 2 weeks though, depending on the stakes.
