Nice job.  I like the tastefully hidden plumbing.  :)

I used a Dragon Models' CSM to build this 1/48 Gundrop. I built Spider a few years ago. I made a few modifications and used the Space Model Systems' decals.

Here is a comparison of the Apollo 8 and 9 CSMs. Apollo 8 has no docking equipment and I weathered it more, showing it towards the end of its stay in Lunar Orbit. Gumdrop is a clean version.

When I built my recent LUT models last year, I had a lot of trusses leftover from the kits. And a shuttle.  So I decided to make a representation of the SSME test vehicle, MPTA-098. The stand is a simple representation of the test stand. It isn't exact, but it was a fun little build.

Great idea; very beautiful!

So, I won't be building anything for a while.  I had to move, unexpectedly, when a fire broke out in my building. Good news, all my models survived the fire.  But bad news is, they took a few dings with the rushed moved.  So, hopefully, I get back to hobby stuff soon, after I unpack!

Yikes!  I hope most other things, in addition to your models, were saved and no injuries!

You know where to find me for spare parts and such.

Clothing in a closet got damp, so it is being cleaned.  And of course, my food in the fridge was....well, rotted. No power to the building.

And every one was safe in the building, including dogs, cats, a snake and bearded dragon.

OMG, Ron, what a bloody fate!

Keep a stiff upper lip! Better days will come back again.

Now that I am settled into my new apartment, I have completed my first new big build. The new Dragon Models Apollo 13.  I modified the damaged area a lot, with foil and reworking the fuel cells.  I added other detals to the entire vehicle too.  This is just the same Apollo CSM/LM that Dragon has released over the years, but with new parts.

Here is the new parts tree that comes with the model. Very simple parts.

2nd model is Apollo 11 landing from the series "For All Mankind" It also uses a Dragon Models LM and a plaster base.

Very cool Ron.

Not that I'm an expert, but I don't think that LM crash would have been survivable.

Very beautiful idea! Fortunately, it's a model kit and not a real situation. If it a real situation, I can't imagine the problem for the astronauts.

Well done!

SRB-X Shuttle Derived Vehicle. 1/144 scale. When you have three spare SRBs in your parts box and remember this proposed vehicle and decide to build it. I had the booklet years ago but I have lost it.
