A fair amount of what looks like debris drifting to the upper right of the screen.

Is that Gandalf on the third row?   ::)

I doubt it. Gandalf looked much younger than that.

For a 3-engine landing burn, not having to replace the deck again seems like it'd mean a miss could be at least a partial win -- at least enough to endlessly debate on forums how we should count it.  :P

I think they're going to have to replace the engines, as it looks like the hit the deck.

Okay, I managed to *barely* avoid an out-of-context quip in the Discussion thread, but hey, that's why this is here, eh?

You are doing it wrong. Lines are NOT straight at all in this lens. Or do you think the ocean is curved?

Well, actually, yeah.  ;D

I attempted to up the contrast on the engines to see how close they got to the deck.  Still hard to be sure.

Was working up to a "see, the earth is flat and it is all a conspiracy" comment. I guess that's all I've got.

I would guess the legs are designed so that at the max limit of the emergency crush cores the engine bells would be off the deck.  Elon said they used "almost" all of the crush core, so I would be surprised if the bells hit.

"That surge when the booster landed.  Crazy."  Yeah, it looked like a wave hit broadside just before the feed cut out.

"Was like Black Friday at opening hour ;D"  That's a strange metaphor for waves on the -- oh, *that* kind of surge!  ;D

Well, it's either flat or hollow.  You can't have it both ways!  ;D

I can't wait to see the landing footage, considering what we saw the exhaust doing to the ocean surface, it's got to be real sporty!
