Dang. What a bunch of weenies. Scrub due to lightning. Gene Kranz and Pete Conrad would have said go!  :)
I'd like to think they wouldn't.

Gene Kranz was not Flight Director during the launch of Apollo 12. Gerry Griffin held that position.

Elon would get to Mars faster if he would put more resources into that weather controling machine on his secret volcanic island....

The problem with that weather machine is, that it can only make the weather more turbulent, but not calmer.. To make it calm would require a chaos inversion capacitor. Which in turn needs the capability of connecting to the supreme and inferior energy grid simultaneously. We simply don't have that yet, even the Culture regards such technology as excession.

I've always said that the Gulf of Mexico needs a large matrix of interconnected pipes to reduce pressure gradients from incoming air masses. (What that's gonna do to the global climate, that's another story.)

If that is the case, then all you have to do is run the machine backwards in time.

Perhaps, by pumping enough energy into the weather, we could make it so chaotic that the time between good and bad weather is less than the time it takes lightning to strike!  Problem solved!

Good thing Dragon has a heat shield, because it'd be sitting in high-mach winds...  which isn't a term you get to use often!

If that is the case, then all you have to do is run the machine backwards in time.

We know this is possible because Elon originally announced that Falcon Heavy would fly in 2012 - ever since, he has clearly been deflecting until development is finished, at which point he will send the design back in time to the ancient year 2011.
All aboard the HSF hype train!  Choo Choo!

If NROL-76 was meant to deploy sharks with frickin lasers, Elon would have not resigned from Trump's advisory council.

Just saying, we can cross that option off the list.

"Space Wasps", actually. And they first graced the very first Falcon 9 launch.
