He's just told me he meant the launch hightlights video. Yeah, everyone else thought he meant the video that got the SpaceXer's ooh and ahh'ing - which was the booster death cam.

I'm not familiar with techno music, but I notice that the SpaceX webcasts always feature the music of Test Shot Starfish.  Could that be a SpaceX employee?

If that's an established artist, I apologize for my ignorance.  Like I said, I don't follow techno music.
The Space Age is just starting to get interesting.

Multimedia duo Kyle Schember and Ryan Stuit met in 1999 in Los Angeles on a film set and, in addition to their own work, have since contributed audio to several television programs, commercials, and other video. They have also done remixes for Coldplay, Gus Gus, and Snoop Dogg and contributed work to such high-profile clients as Showtime, ESPN, Toyota, and the National Football League. Their own recordings arrived as an EP in 2003 and a self-titled full-length in summer 2005.
They appear to not have any particular affiliation with SpaceX although they say they make 'music for space'. Big fans of SpaceX? Maybe Elon is a big fan of theirs?

And in today's Space News:
A SpaceX first stage has actually FAILED to land, being destroyed in an orgy of Aerodynamic forces during reentry!

Space enthusiasts all around the globe will have a day of mourning for the valiant lost soul stage.

Rocket Rights advocates are staging marches and petitions to ban such a  return to the Cruel Old Days when a rocket's life was only worth 2.5 minutes.

Think of the missed opportunity of other launch providers... all these years.

I can't speak for everyone else, but I thoroughly enjoyed the fact that SpaceX's commentator wasn't being forced to bend over backwards repeating that the focus is on the primary mission--the successful deployment of the payload--and not the secondary objective of booster recovery.  Now, if we can just get them to do recovery missions without feeling like they have to continually harp on this fact.

That is why the crowd at Hawthorne is obsessed with the first stage. They don't care about the primary mission of delivering satellites or launching probes beyond Earth. They are more interested in booster recovery.
Because the Falcon Heavy Test Flight was successful, it has inspired thousands of people to consider changing the future of space travel.

Well, they do needed some tender loving care after such a traumatic launch experience. Plus many of them survive that to end up very sea sick.

It occurred to me just now what the most important reason is for taking down the RSS at 39A.....it blocks the view on the SFN feed.

That is a problem.  Anyone else willing to volunteer on the weekends?  I think NSF could bring the thing down in a month as long as we dispensed with haughty luxuries like "safety equipment" and "structural loads"!

Roughly a 1,570m/s deficit to GTO. That's almost Zenit-3SLB/Proton-M/Briz-M performance.
Those have more stages too. Not bad for kerolox 2 stage.

But, but... kerolox is very low energy. Sad!
