Any determination on landing bingo yet? I'd like to submit this evidence.  ;)

https://forum.nasaspaceflight.com/index.php?topic=42544.msg1663489#msg1663489

That looks tantalizingly close to my M-22 bingo spot!  :D

BTW, just some incredible photos there.

Edit: Irrefutable evidence puts the F9 center just two squares diagonally further from the center. My closest result yet though!

Hrmmm. I think I was closer and should win the bingo. I didn't pick a square, but was slightly more general; "somewhere within 10,000 miles of Florida, wet or dry touchdown, one or more pieces.". And, of course, the F9 did exactly that!  8)

Another nomination for the FH demo silly payload:

    A bowl of petunias.
"oh no... not again"

What about the whale?       "I wonder if it will be my friend?"
A heavy should easily lift a whale... Only a heritic would doubt SpaceX

The Party Thread is reversible, but time is not.

I am old enough to have played this record using an LP by manually controlling the spin of the record!
The music is reversable, but time isn't.... go back... go back... go back...

things that people these days with CD and MP3s can't appreciate.

Me too! But you needed a direct-drive turntable, don't try it with a belt-drive!

I saw them twice in concert, including what I believe was their last concert ever, opening for Rod Stewart in Stuttgart, Germany. (Surely this topic counts as space-related. Just check out the inside and outside album art on the open-fold double Out of the Blue cover, and they even had a song called, "Ticket to the Moon"!)

For those who can YouTube but not facebook, he also has it uploaded there:

So, what I want to know is what on earth were they doing in *Springfield*?!?  I've driven through there, and I get nervous pulling my canoe trailers sometime.  For reference, here's a Google Maps link to the very spot in the video:  https://goo.gl/maps/v7QeYJ3Q8pN2

Only problem would be that it wouldn't drive anywhere because Teslas are not build to operate in vacuum/near vacuum. And you don't want to explain THAT to the public, would you? ;)
I was not thinking about actually LANDING it somewhere (which would be a lot more complicated). But a flyby alone would be pretty cool. No?
I feel like truly "silly payload" discussion belongs in the party thread.  You know, things that obviously aren't going to happen.  So I'm relocating my comment from the FH demo thread:

Or an impactor?  I've long been in the Tesla model S camp for silly payloads.  Prove once and for all that electric cars can get better mileage than any internal combustion engined car in the solar system.  But, for all time silliness, crash a Tesla Model S into the moon as an impactor?  Definitely should have taken a left at Albuquerque.
Shouldn't reality posts be in "Advanced concepts"?  --Nomadd

I've lost track of the launches - which is the next one from KSC?! Either ULA or SpaceX?

They're missing a cross-marketing opportunity.   Put two hemispherical caps on each end of the stage to better protect the engines and interstage, switch to hotdog-brown-colored plastic to wrap the stage, and sell advertising as a cross-country rolling billboard to the highest bidder!  They can one-up the Oscar Meyer Wienermobile!

SpaceX 16th  (NROL-76, booster already at cape)
ULA 18th  (Cygnus to ISS)

all obviously NET, dates may change until the rocket is off the pad.

Nomination for FH demo "silly" payload. A surfboard to be released into LEO and then re-enter. In honour of John Carpenter's greatest film.

I've never heard of the director John Carpenter; what film is this screenshot depicting?
Because the Falcon Heavy Test Flight was successful, it has inspired thousands of people to consider changing the future of space travel.

I still think Escape from NY was his best work, though how can you top surfing while escaping from LA?
