I think the while fairing issue for Zuma is a misdirection. The put out the delay story, then went ahead and launched last Thursday.
And nobody noticed. Because.. um... because reasons.

As Nacnud said in the post after yours, it's all a big smoke screen (And every launch has a lot of smoke!).

They could have easily disguised the rocket. For example, they could have painted "Not a rocket" on it, so that anyone seeing it go up (such as the tourists at KSC)  would have thought it something else - a bird, a brick, a Vogon construction ship, whatever.

That or deep in Musk's Volcano Lair, he's succeeded in inventing a means to project an SEP field to hide the launch.

Perhaps we can come up with a 100 page thread in the New Physics forum to discuss this incredible development!

Yeah, people came from around the globe to attend it.

Hush, or the next one will be scheduled at 'Stratford on Avon'.

1) If the earth is flat, how come cats haven't pushed everything off the edge yet?

This is a really good question. A lot of this stuff is explained in Terry Pratchett's novel  Color of Magic. The physics of flat world is simply amazing. And it is not "the edge", it is called "Rim". See here for details.

Ah, so the solution is a cat proof circumfence? It seems so simple now.

Donít you ever wonder how they explain being able to skype call or FaceTime  somebody over in Japan or Australia and having them be in darkness while they are sitting in daylight? If he Earth was flat they would all see the same sunrise and sunset, right? At the same time... for that matter time zones?

Not intending to derail this thread, but this is the first time I've actually noticed your profile image.

Let me guess.  Luke forced the landing?

Easy! Skype and Facetime, just like Australia and Japan, don't really exist; they're just special effects fakery to hide the fact that the Earth is flat.

The Earth wasn't originally flat. It was round like a ball but us Aussies got a contract with China to supply gas and now the Earth is flat and deflated. You can't just keep supplying gas like that and not expect it to go flat. I suggested we pumped it full of greenhouse gasses to compensate but us Aussies aren't really Gardeners so we don't have many greenhouses. My house is red and silver   Shame about all that

The Sun doesn't set, it just gets very far away from us and closer to Japan/Australia (just ignore the geometric contradictions)

I'm thankful that our atmosphere's thin enough to allow Max-Q in supersonic regimes.

... also that the day of the week isn't included on forum post timestamps, so nobody will know that I posted this the day after Thanksgiving.

Hmm... super-secret Zuma is delayed, and then Falcon Heavy gets pushed back, too...  Sure, you can *say* it's coincidental or the result of the fairing or whatever, but we know the Truth.  Obviously, Zuma's actually far too heavy for a Falcon 9.  It's actually going to fly on Falcon Heavy, but They don't want anyone to know that.  Better if it's assumed to be a really light Falcon 9 launch, as people will be looking for entirely the wrong thing.

And that whole thing about wanting something humorous, like the cheese, for the Falcon Heavy launch?  That's just so nobody gets too curious about it and puts two and two together.  The fun payload is actually getting launched on the "Zuma" Falcon 9.  I can't believe none of us put this together sooner!  ;D
