That is an amazing thread!
You can even find Chris's B age if you read it carefully.   ;)

We may have to dead-thread it. That's L3 level information.

There is a L3?  :o

 :P

Sorry citizen, you're not cleared for that information[2]. Go on about your business... nothing to see here.... move along.... move along....

1 - The computer is your friend[1]. Report to the nearest disintegration chamber for further processing, er information.
2 - does anyone get this reference???

You have a self-referential footnote. I think I'm stuck in an endless loop...

You can't actually see L3 information since there's always something in the way.  What you really want is L4, which is where you have nice stable info in advance.  Just don't accidentally go with L5 or you'll always be behind.  ;D

The computer never makes misteaks. To suggest otherwise is treason, citizen.

Oh man, these are always a riot...  role-reversed Arnold and Helga over on the right, old-school Batman (I hope he brought shark repellent for those landings in the Pacific) in the mid-right, and BROTHER HOGAN in the back...  Fun times.
All aboard the HSF hype train!  Choo Choo!

Treading ground we have already recovered...
but what are you all hoping for in the Falcon heavy payload module
A really big wheel of cheese with parachute system on an Apollo 8 free return trajectory?
A School bus? A Tesla Model 90? Or...

Oh, that'll never work.  You load 16 tons, and what do you get? Another day older and deeper in debt.  That's highly suboptimal.

Please don't open the is SpaceX profitable debate again.... Poor Chris and Lar wore out the mod buttons on their respective keyboards with those debates.

From the General Falcon/Dragon thread:
Maybe party stuff should be left in the party thread??

The view from Elon's video in this post earlier in this thread kicked off something near 20 posts of a subthread about why the COPVs were red. Thanks to a couple SpaceXers' costume choices, we finally got an image to go with MechE31's explanation.  So, the image happened to come from the party thread.  It's not the first time real info came that way, and to raise the signal to noise ratio, I did crop out all the other costumed SpaceXers (who remain safely ensconced in the party thread).

Still, I would be more than happy to replace this image with another image showing the red COPV protective jackets with their "REMOVE BEFORE TANK CLOSEOUT" labeling.  Perhaps someone can ask SpaceX for one directly.

CT Space Guy, would you like some ice?

Um, I *would* be quite happy to replace the image with an official one, and as I neither have rapport with any SpaceX PR people nor accounts on the usual social media sites, I really don't know of a way of asking.  I didn't consider the post hypergolic, but perhaps I was a bit brief, leaving us insufficiently excellent to each other?

Anyway, now the real threads are spilling over into the party thread, too!

As I said in the other thread[1], I have no problem with it whatever, it's the best image of a COPV cover I've seen yet.

Also, since I'm here...

1 - I forgot which post it was. [2]
2 - ...but someone could dig it up if they wanted to. [3]
3 - it is a lie that I create Möbius threads. Well except for that one time[1]. Ed may never forgive me. Möbius footnote chains on the other hand, I do all the time. I did it just the other day.[1]

Yeah, I had a friend wondering that, too.  :)

Also, my friend wants to know what are the differences between the North American and the South American New Glenn?  Or would it be a Nuevo Glenn?

Unrelated question, is the plural of Möbius = Möbii?

And me thinking that it was "the two owe the tee too".

(Non-English here, sorry if it is a really old joke.)

P.S.: Is this the Cygnus / Antares party, or do I have the wrong address?
