It's Monday...

It's early on Monday. Just not a great time to get a party started. Let's just meditate over our coffee instead. I can look like I'm working that way.

I have early Monday too much coffee stomache, or is that launch nerves?  Never could sort that one out.

This would be a cool launch party song - but it'd have to be a cover version called 'Falcon Rock'!! ;)

That was cool -- in the very recent past, my cable box got a YouTube app provided, and my cable box has a voice-command feature, that lets me tell the remote what I want to look at.

So, all I had to do was press a button on my remote, say "SpaceX Iridium 3", et voila, there was a listing of items, for which the first two options were live feeds of the launch.

Of course, you have to speak clearly -- the first time I tried it this morning, it thought I said "Space sex launch"...  ???

The system will always try and find a match... in this case, for some odd reason, it came up with a bunch of German-language films!   ??? ??? ???

I'm surprised nobody is talking about the secret launch SpaceX made this year.  John slipped up and let out that this is the 15th SpaceX launch this year...

I must have missed that. At the end of the "norminal" webcast he called it the 14th mission, and looking forward to the 15th in a couple days.
Not saying SpaceX hasn't flown a secret mission or two this year, though. They might be secretly testing cheese wheels in preparation for FH.  :D

It's at the beginning of the webcast.  I'm sure before the end someone let John know about his gaffe.  I imagine it went something like "psst John, we're not supposed to allude to that launch on April 1st from our hidden volcano lair!"

I did a recount of all the 2017 missions flown; it was 14 so far. There was not a 15th secret mission.

Maybe J. Insprucker accidentally said 15 were flown, but it's okay. Mistakes happen and can be fixed.

It wasn't really secret. They are just counting the the ITS's tank test as a launch.

Asking for a friend, no doubt.

I had to commute from Grand Rapids to Dearborn but I had the YouTube spooling and pulled into a Park and Ride lot at T-2:00 and stayed parked (safety first!) till after first stage landing.

John definitely was explaining some basic stuff this time. Loved Matt's vid ("Are you tired of me yet? Grease up, we have 5 more to go") ...

Given this launch was supposed to occur after SES he probably just had an old copy of the script he was reading from. They gave him an updated copy during one of the commercial breaks.
