I have to say that I find the remarks of "it was Boring" shocking and rather off topic! After all, Tesla is off topic for this site (I think?) so shouldn't Elon's other companies be likewise OT? (I'm referring to The Boring Company, of course).

:p

Here comes the sun!!!!

I know I'm off topic, but bets if earth facing sunspot 2673 will belch out an X class flare (3 M class since Sunday) and cause a scrub?

An X-class flare causing a SpaceX scrub?!?! You'd think SpaceX would be a bit more careful with their X-stuff than to allow that kind of scheduling conflict to happen!

And note, it's launching the X-37... hmm, I smell an X-spiracy!

I'll have to watch it all on Xfinity... :D

It looks like there's a dog driving as well.  No wonder SpaceX can undercut the competition: they pay in dog-food and treats!

That's the passenger side, we drive on the other side of the road ;-)

He's just along for the ride as the AI takes the rig for a spin.

I was referring to what looks like the ear of a second doggy visible on the driver's side.  I did spend most of the 90's driving on the wrong side of the road (UK), but now I drive on the right side!

Must not live in the country, the bigger the SUV, the more likely it will be driving down the center of both lanes...

btw. When I blow up that image, I'm pretty sure it's a cat, not a dog in the drivers seat.

I agree with darkenfast--I see the lop-ear of a smaller, second dog in the (left side) driver's seat.

Re: the apparent driver-dog--my experience tells me he or she is not a sight hound.  My (dearly departed) saluki was perfectly happy to let his human chauffeur the horseless-chariot.

(I sometimes think that I would have liked to converse with Charles Schulz about Snoopy--I think Snoopy acted much more like a saluki than a beagle.  Example: the relationship between Snoopy and his "round-headed kid.")

Seems pretty clear to me, and probably everyone in the U.S., that OTV-5 is putting up a payload for the IRS given that it's going up on core 1040.

We had plans to go to KSC today and tomorrow, but with gas so hard to get here in the Tampa area with Irma looming, we stayed home.  Instead, my family on the east coast are boarding up windows.

If X-37 scrubs because of Irma, that would "really blow"

My model. The hurricane was one that was over Florida in 2004 or so.

Can you imagine how difficult it is to work in a hurricane, a space spyplane launch, another hurricane, and the lottery into one prayer? God thought I was off my meds again.  :o
