Big grats to everyone at Spacex! The glowing waffleiron was a nice bonus too, coupled with the incredible videoquality all the way to separation, ive never seen it soo clear all the way from vehicle to launchsite.

This day also remind me of all the reuse-possible/impossible discissions ive read over the past years, and all the "it cant be done" threads grinded to dust one by one. It feels liberating!

Again hugs to everyone at Spacex and the crew at NSF

Incredible moment! Congratulations to SpaceX for dreaming and making this a reality, the Air Force, FAA and range for accepting the risk and supporting this moment, SES for having confidence in being the fir mover, and Airbus for supplying the payload and adapting to this new set of requirements.

It's a magnificent set of dice SpaceX has built, and many thanks and congratulations to SES and SpaceX for taking the chance on rolling them.

1021: the first of many -- long may it fly.

(Though I'd guess it'll get the JCSat-14 treatment, so it may not actually fly again. The sentiment stands. ;-) )

Well, I can't add anything to the congratulatory messages that have already been posted.  Congratulations to SpaceX, SES, the 45th Space Wing, NSF, and any others who were involved that I left out.

It's only right and proper that LC-39A was the launch site for this historic flight.

As I've said before, I'm old enough to have watched Gemini and Apollo flights, and the Space Age is just starting to get interesting!

Congratulations SpaceX!!!  So cool to witness history like that.

I had to chuckle a little when they first showed the stage.  it was like "huh...I guess thats where the conspiracy theorists get their CGI theory from.  Empty deck one minute, F9 sitting there all pretty the next"  ;D
Tried to tell you, we did.  Listen, you did not.  Now, screwed we all are.

Faget: We really need to get behind a really sensible first stage that's completely reusable and piggyback off of that event [till] you get the capability to have a two-stage reusable vehicle.

Slade: That you could reuse over and over again and get it back.

Faget: Over and over again with virtually no changes, only the same kind of maintenance you might do on an airplane.  - Max Faget, Shuttle Designer.

Congratulations SpaceX!  You fulfilled a dream of many!
