Things they need to be announcing around this time, if they're going to hit their already-announced goals: Either space suits, or a launch date (and, optionally, a non-cheese payload) for FH's maiden flight.

Those may not be as exciting as something completely new, but in a way it'll be disappointing if they're setting new goalposts instead of scoring on the ones they have.

Any indication that they will livestream at SpaceX.com? Can we get Helodriver to cover it for NSF and ask good questions?  :-)

I expect it's something more media mainstream. Therefore I'd go with Chris' suit reveal or something not hinted at. Regardless, tomorrow just got a whole lot better than standard Monday

Doubt it'll be a launch date for FH because or any launch date announcement because, let's face it, whatever date they set probably won't stick. Could be the suits, even though we were expecting them later in the year, but the lack of any apparent NASA involvement also puts that somewhat in doubt like Chris said. The SpaceX sat constellation is my best guess.

Perhaps a formal partnering with Google for CommX. Google has slowed their fiber deployment and the speculation has been some form of wireless would take the lead.

Doubtful, Elon has stated many times not until regular trips to Mars.

This is probably not it and would be too early- but maybe they're announcing a selection/application process for Mars astronauts. At least it doesn't seem insane to me

The "not pink" was a reference to the Ms. Shotwell presser at 39A. I've edited that out as it spawned a number of low quality posts that people had a fit over - trimmed out of the thread. Let's keep this to educated guesses (stressing educated) and hopefully we will be able to go into the announcement.

Mundane prediction: NET launch date for Falcon Heavy demo flight.

No way it's an "us too!" spacesuit reveal. Musk seemed annoyed by the GAO report on commercial crew. Risky guess? Announcement tomorrow is about some sort of fast tracking D2 crew flights.

That kind of market defensive tactic (for a partner?) is usually done on Friday. Monday sounds more aggressive.

But also the kind of thing where he'd want people to absorb the information before reacting to it... ...hmm.
