All Falcon 9 Landings, side-by-side
« on: 02/21/2017 02:50 pm »
Hey again NSF!
I noticed that SpaceX has now completed 8 landings of the Falcon 9, which is a nice round number.
So I decided to put together a little video to celebrate!
It's not too long, so I hope you like it!

Agh! That would be a frame that I missed.

The easter egg isn't nearly as obvious as that!

What is the approximate landing weight of S1 when doing an RTLS?  I believe this version/rating of the Merlin 1D is about 180,000 thrust/lb, so it must be somewhere S of that...
Thanks!

Well they said it couldn't be done on viable orbital missions, so there's eight in the face of those people! ;D

Great stuff. We really should work on more mash ups and such. It's usually the thing that gets newbies hooked and before you know it they move from "rocket goes up, and rocket goes dooooown???" to regulars thinking they know better than Jim about payload integration processing. :D
