Lot of wind induced vibrations in the cams.

Bad thing about KSC: weather delays.  Good thing about KSC: you can see the rocket.

Pretty poor views today.

Glad I decided not to drive up to see it. It's about 4 hours up the coast.

Long time lurker, something I haven't noticed until last two launches on S2, anyone know what the white mass accreting at the top of the bell is?

Great landing! Still amazes me they can pull it off with such a mobile target.

Also, is it just me or has there never been a loss during reentry, only landing?

Almost definitely oxygen ice.

I think every landing attempt has landed, some just fell over afterwards

it's the shock and interference generated by a large rocket descending at speed! :-)
Very difficult to keep a lock on a sat link.

Looks like a hard landing again, seems quite close to the deck. Thought the last 1 or 2 seconds showed the engines cutoff and a what felt like a vertical drop via the camera feed.

May have just been the droneship's deck shifting before touchdown. Looks pretty wavey out there.

Watched the landing a few times, looks to me like the engine cut out a bit above the deck and there was a short drop for the stage to land, with a bit of a bounce. Didn't seem too violent though. EDIT: As above....

The initial F9 1.0 flights carried parachutes but were lost in reentry, if that counts.

So far very smooth. Just realized if the mision is succesful this is already their best year ever, (in terms of successful launches) and we have just passed mid year.  :o

Concur with those that observed it seemed to reach 0 velocity a few feet above the deck and drop the last couple feet after cut off.
