A CZ-2D rocket will be launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center on November 11, 2016, carrying an yet unspecified satellite (possibly a Yaogan Weixing).

Chinaspaceflight.com is reporting two NOTAM's for Jiuquan on the 12th. Possibly a CZ-2D (Yaogan?) launch?
Does anyone have the NOTAMs information?
If so, what is the launch trajectory, apparent orbital inclination, etc.?

Any information about the Yunhai-1 satellites? Looks like is some sort of mission to study clouds using radio occultation?

More like general meteorological observation - however given that more than one insider sources on Chinese forums are deliberately mum on this I think it's a classified mission. Which reminds me that CAST's Shenzhen branch was to build some kind of "military weather satellite constellation" as of a year or two ago - maybe this will be the first satellite.

If your supposition is correct:
Why (apparently) would the Chinese start duplicating the NOAA POES/USAF DMSP dichotomy?
(NOAA, NASA, and USAF tried to combine the separate programs after the end of the Cold War.)
Why not load all the SSO meteorology capability for civilian and military requirements onto their Feng Yun satellites?

Oh wait, the start of this satellite's rumor is that an
SAST team left for the launch site. Nevermind the last part.....
.....and I'm waiting for launch confirmation.

It seems that the one I mentioned earlier has received the "Yunhai-2" name.
