From what I hear, the communications are literally choppy. A "cutting utensil" is slicing the communications link into little pieces.

Now I hear nothing other than Rob Navias's info.
That should indicate that we've lost contact with Soyuz MS-01 until the end of the ionization blackout.

The Orbital Module was depressurized at the completion of the deorbit burn. That way, it won't accidentally depressurize the Descent Module at the time of separation.

6 minutes from the module separation and entry interface.
That will mark the first time Ivanishin, Onishi, and Rubins have felt Earth's gravity since July 2016.

Module separation on my mark.
3, 2, 1, mark. We have separation of the Service Module and Orbital Module.
The crew members have also closed their helmet visors and started the oxygen supply to their Launch & Entry Suits.

Even though communications have been lost for a while, Soyuz has entered the ionization blackout.

Maximum G level during entry interface is 4.5 Gs. That's about half of what John Glenn experienced at the end of Friendship 7; he experienced 8 Gs during reentry.

Two and a half minutes until the parachute deployment sequence. This should slow Soyuz down to 24 feet per second.

Out of the plasma. Soyuz sends the beeping hello. 15 degrees above nominal curve. Could impact landing zone?

The main chute should have been reefed and fully inflated by now.
Also, we should expect live video from Jezkazgan.
