XM-1 was named Rock, XM-2 was named Roll, any idea what XM-3 and XM-4 will be named after?

Nope, XM-4 is a Boeing BSS bird, XM-5 (?) will be a Loral build.

Ah, okay, thanks!  I knew they had a Loral bird coming up somewhere...

So, they're already up to XM-5?  I don't see why they'd need five sats, although I have no idea what kind of shape their current operational satellites are in.

If they do build #5 they might keep it as a "on ground" spare. It can take up to 3 years to go from contract signing to having a flight ready satellite so who really knows what the long term thinking maybe on #5. It could be as a replacement for XM-1 (nearing its tenth year of service).

XM-5 is built as a ground spare and will be launched on need
