What is the weather looking like for early next week?
With FL summer weather, even a 3-day forecast is 'iffy' in regards to rain or local storms.

Protests issued relating to weathering on the ET. This drama isn't over yet. Some complaints on certain centers not being briefed by MMT.

"Protests issued relating to weathering on the ET."
Weathering as in sitting outside too long?
Might make sense to keep weather forecasts and the like in the weather thread.

I do not know all the details but was that 7 to 8 days including the time they needed to see if Ernesto did any damage, and then they go back to work, ...
No, the gentleman speaking on last nights briefing stated that 8 days was the minimum to hoook everything up, do minimal re-checks to confirm things are hooked up correctly and then to resume from where they left off earlier this week. There was nothing in that time related to looking for new wx induced issues.
i'm really curious about the internal memo someone posted above - "Launch NET 9/3" ... that would be only four to four & a half days from reconnection of MLP to pad.

I'm very angry with the decision not to delay Soyuz TMA9.
I have nothing against the Russians, but it is a disgrace that they are n
ot helping. This stinks of ensuring Space Adventures get their paying customers launched on time.
It is Russia's station too, and it is not Russia's fault if NASA can't get shuttle off in the alloted time.

All I know is there are concerns about the tank going through a very wet and windy storm, only to go through a cyro cycle soon after. I'm sure they are just doing their job in noting potential issues. Certainly has been over-ridden, and I think they were just a bit annoyed that the MMT didn't give them write a powerpoint about it.

I'm angry with the Russians too. Otherwise, I wouldn't have called them-- Oh wait, that message has been deleted. Oops. Have fun in space, Ansari! I'm sure Brent Jett and Co. are wishing you a safe and fun flight.
You both have forgotten that we provide safety of your astronaut Jeffrey Williams... The postponing of launch of Soyuz TMA-9 will cause landing of Soyuz TMA-8 in night and possibly at region with lakes, careers etc... The descent module with your astronaut may land into Tengiz lake in night and our search forces may not find it quickly... Such situation was with Soyuz-23 in 1976... Our specialists will not endanger life of astronauts...
