STS-115 Rollback-a major first step toward 6 month Delay. Murphy's Law in effect! There will be 2 launch opportunity days in October in which will result in a Scrub both days, and one launch opportunity day in December in which will likewise result in a Scrub. After August 27 to Sept. 7 opportunity, the next extensive opportunity will be after February 19, 2007. Obviously, Atlantis onSTS-115 will launch no earlier than February 19, 2007. Frustrating isn't it?

Why the scrubs in Oct? You have no basis for that prediction. Oct daily weather is better

I just wonder how long it will really take to make sure the pad is ready to support the launch, once the storm has passed.. i.e. damage assessment may be the key..
I see no inputs in terms of second week launch.. anything from the russians?

I do wish STS-115 will lift off in October. If bad weather can be fomented according to Murphy's Law, it will be fomented on bother days. I do hope that it will go that time around.

"Obviously, Atlantis onSTS-115 will launch no earlier than February 19, 2007."
Maybe new users should have posts moderated at first?
"If bad weather can be fomented"
Never heard of that word - and even after looking it up I don't understand what you mean.
"damage assessment may be the key."
Max winds at KSC will probably be in the 30mph range, I can't see what sort of pad damage (or any damage) that would cause.
