Two BeiDou-3 satellites were launched by a Long March-3B launch vehicle from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center, Sichuan province, on 5 November 2017, at 11:45 UTC (19:45 local time). To expand the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System, China plans to launch 18 BeiDou-3 satellites by the end of 2018.
