That's one heck of a ceiling fan if it is that! Are those counter-rotating blades? ...

Interesting aerodynamic problem for counter-rotating blades.
All industrial ceiling fans I have seen have co-rotating blades.

Counter-rotating blades <<are rarely used in subsonic applications, mainly due to poor knowledge of the aerodynamics in the mixing area between the two rotors, where very complex structures are produced by the interaction of highly unsteady flows>>
This reference has an experimental study, counter-rotating blades may be 10% more efficient but they are also noisier and much more expensive:

They pulled the link down, so I didn't get to view the show. From the stills I saw, it appears what you see is what you get. Everything SPR has is in this one locale...lots of floor space and no production...a basic storage or lab facility. Not that I wouldn't LOVE to have the area for my build and testing!
Being an old radio guy, guess Shawyer could remind me of Edwin H Armstrong, the inventor of FM radio and the sad story of his life thanks to a large corporation's shenanigans:

I agree with your impression: it appears from the evidence presented that <<Everything SPR has is in this one locale...lots of floor space and no production...a basic storage or lab facility. ..>>.
Excellent summary: << it appears what you see is what you get>>. This is also consistent with the financial evidence presented on SPR elsewhere on these threads.
No evidence to dramatically speculate otherwise: SPR is neither dead: everything Shawyer wrote about is there (actual lab hardware as he described in his reports), nor does it appear to be involved in scale-up or production. To do so would require a major infusion of capital.
Does anyone know the address of the lab? I'm curious what google earth may show. There could be other rooms in the facility.
Oakways, Tubbs Lane Highclere, Newbury, Berkshire, RG20 9PQ
I found the street. Trying to figure out what "Oakways" is.
There's also this door. It does not appear to be an exterior door, but to another set of rooms.

It is typical to have a front
receiving area for deliveries and where usually one makes a vendor (and other such visitors) that requires access to the lab to sign a short Non-Disclosure agreement forbidding the vendor from disclosing any information, taking photographs, etc., to keep track of any visitors, and to also have them sign a short Safety Warning (since microwaves can be hazardous to your health). It would be usual for example for Mr. Shawyer to have an office at the front, with a desk, etc. and perhaps to also have a
receptionist/secretary, and perhaps a few other offices/rooms in case the company grows.
I expect that the double doors to the lab have a sign saying something like "only authorized personnel beyond this point", and perhaps also a
Safety Warning (as microwaves can result in bodily harm).
It is a very conventional set-up for a small R&D company as SPR Ltd. that had at one time financial backing from the UK Government, and entered into agreements with Boeing, etc.
I would not be surprised if this photograph was (previous to the BBC film) taken in a room in that front receiving area:
Doesn't anyone remember all the loud disruptive "banging around" noises heard in the background during the Shawyer interview? Probably one large rectangular building. Enough speculation for me though. , FL

Took a Street View drive down Tubbs Lane. A nice residential area with some large homes. Oakways is most likely the name of the house/cottage, as most of the properties have names, but I did not see an Oakways and not all were visible. My guess is that's where he lives. Workshop in back? No easy way to tell but my guess is no.

Agreed. I took about 4 trips down street view both ways. Saw no Oakways. Unless Shawyer has converted an entire house/cottage into a workshop, I didn't really see any back yard workshops large enough.
Personally, when we start to use google street view, i think we're transgressing some privacy bounderies.
I feel highly uncomfortable with this...

The focus should stay on the technology controversy and not revolve the individual...
It is not because we can , that we should invade the personal environment of R.Shawyer. I find this a no-go zone...
Then we differ in opinion on this and is most likely to why the EU has a lot more issues with some of the privacy settings of US companies.
IF you do not feel uncomfortable about this, then I guess we're destined not to agree on this...

That is about a short 20 minute drive from Oakways and it looks like factory units.
Oddly enough, it is listed as a computer software company with a workforce of 11-50 people, but the webpage it quotes is emdrive.com ! Perhaps, Linked-in did not have a suitable category, or its wires are crossed.

Is it worth it to contact the author of the article to ask that they correct their mistaken statements about you?
I'm not sure if these incorrect statements spreading from IBT to Popular Mechanics magazine is a step up or down. But you know the saying:
"Isaac Newton’s First Law of Motion states, “A body at rest will remain at rest,
and a body in motion will remain in motion unless it is acted upon by an external force.”
Looks like the only friction AKA force, that could be created to slow this spread of moving misinformation about you, would be your actions. Otherwise, this could become a virtual perpetual motion machine.
Just saying.

Enhance! I was able to tease some information out of the window. And after doing a street view through this industrial complex, I cannot find bricked-in windows that match what is seen. Roger's windows also do not match what is seen.
My guess is they have moved their laboratory to a new location and it is not listed anywhere.
