Oh another one. What happened to the others?
Wake me up when they have flying hardware and more than just some paper rockets. The last ones at least had mockups.

Our project is similar to Blue Origin, but compared to them we have a higher flight altitude (200 km against 100) and we have more time spent in weightlessness (5–6 minutes versus 3–4 minutes).

"Our technical design specification was approved by Roscosmos two days ago. The system’s preliminary design will be created with this document," Pushkin said at the InSpace forum.

According to him, the technical design specification has also been approved by the Central Research Institute of Machine Building (TsNIIMash) and the Keldysh Research Center. In addition, Pushkin said, Roscosmos chief Igor Komarov has already approved the project. "Igor Anatolyevich has taken the project with enthusiasm and gave orders to promote this project", Pushkin said.

The TASS peace is telling the whole story. If Rogozin "takes it with enthusiasm" you can be sure it's as good as dead. The more technically successful will it be, the more Rogozin would  use it for PR. The more he uses it, the less successful will it be. Guess who wins.

I believe Igor Komarov mentioned in the article and Dmitry Rogozin are still separate people. Unless there has been another consolidation ..

So a larger New Shepherd, with some Falcon 9 details sprinkled in.

It would be impressive and cool if they can pull it off. But I'm skeptical.

Wow! That was a very detailed presentation. Is there an equivalent "Jeff Bezos" in Russia that is funding this?

The construction of a first private Russian spaceport has been postponed indefinitely due to problems with the approval of its territory. Pavel Pushkin, the General director of #CosmoCourse company still believes they can provide the first launch in 2025.
