CONGRATS SPACEX! That's how you do it... First try, perfect flight, perfect landing (welll... bit off center and not on my bingo square, but... I'll allow that), perfect delivery of Dragon to orbit...

I'm literally on goosebumps watching the landing replay.

My first post and what a better way than to congratulate Elon & the SpaceX team (& NASA).

Many happy returns!

Speechless and breathing hard.  What a fantastic experience!  And to make it even better, I don't think it quite made my bingo square, but it was pretty darn close!

I'm celebrating down here in New Zealand with a fist pump and a bloody awful instant coffee as my motorcycle is serviced. Well done, Team, well done! :)

Woke up early in the morning from Korea to see the event.
This is the sight I wanted to see for the last couple of years and SpaceX has finally delivered!
Congratulations to everyone!

AT LAST !!!! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Persistence prevails!!! BIIIIIIG congrats to SpaceX on that carrier landing!!!! Btw, is that even the first rocket to ever succesfully land on a ship?

Fingers crossed they nail the rendezvous and berthing as well, but at least in terms of DeltaV that will be small step for a fully functional dragon in good orbit - when compared to the launch :-)

I'm BEAMing with joy :-) - Gonna hit the party thread!

I was 9 when the Russians put Sputnik in orbit.  I watched almost all of Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, Skylab, the shuttles...all of it.

At 68, it is a real thrill to see this remarkable achievement, on top of the "Land" landing on 12/21/15.

In deference to Jim and the old guard, SpaceX stands on their shoulders.  But they surely do stand tall today.  Heartiest congratulations on the first-try, on-time launch, the successful Dragon launch, and the creme de la creme, landing on OCISLY.  Go SpaceX!

It is a good thing that SpaceX had that Blue Origin patent declared invalid ... because they just violated it !!!

Great job SpaceX.

One small step in mankind's vicarious living through SpaceX in SpaceX's quest for conquest of the solar system. To a day that we all walk on another planet.
LEO is the ocean, not an island (let alone a continent). We create cruise liners to ride the oceans, not artificial islands in the middle of them. We need a physical place, which has physical resources, to make our future out there.

Really exciting! CRS-8 will stand out in the list of cargo missions for a long time.

Fantastic day for spaceflight. Go Dragon! Go BEAM! And Go ASDS with your new sure-footed passenger!  :)
