Nice to have the whole live stream on my pc, am watching the first stage landing again and again.. Its really something to see..and to feel..Was a picture perfect landing.. couldn't have gone better...

That was the most awesome thing that ive seen in a long time...They really did it and I and you all got too see it live.. Here's to the future..We all get to go to space... :)

Yeah and man I remember on this forum all the detractors and naysaygers like that night gator guy, hey Jim how does it feel to go from one end of the spectrum where you thought this was impossible to witnessing history? Elon Musk really is a magician eh?

I was jumping around, screaming at my laptop when I saw that touch down. It really is an incredible time for space.

Well best night of the new millennium for me.. 2am here in UK, now i gotta try to go to sleep so I can get up to go to work tomorrow.. Man I may be tired but that was so worth it..  Enjoy the natural high all. Just sheer elation at all that...:)

To be fair, I don't think Jim ever claimed it was impossible, just doubted it'd ever be economical.

Yeah, Jim's gruffness can wear thin at times.

But let's not forget that Elon "the magician," whom I admire and appreciate very much, stands now proudly on nearly 60 years of foundational work--of which the Night Gator has been part.  As marvelous as this achievement is, how does it compare with the work of the Atlas, Titan and Saturn people, who invented much of this from scratch.

Oops...even von Braun built on Goddard and others.

I suspect Jim is smiling right now, anyway.  Who wouldn't be?
