Internet access through the #OneWeb system will be carried out through 40 terminal stations that will be deployed on Earth.

The terminals will be autonomous, able to independently supply themselves with energy and well protected from the influence of adverse environmental factors.

Rogozin reminded the European top manager of Russia's contribution to the launch of OneWeb.

European top manager Israel forgot about Russia's contribution to the launch of OneWeb, Rogozin recalled.

20:39 10/14/2021

MOSCOW, October 14 - RIA Novosti. Arianespace executive director Stefan Israel, in the announcement of today's launch of OneWeb satellites, forgot to mention the Russian side, thanks to which the launch is being carried out, but after a hint from the head of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin and the successful completion of the mission, he nevertheless corrected himself.

"Today, together with our partner Starsem, we will be launching OneWeb again! This mission, called ST36, will allow the operator to put more than half of his constellation into orbit!" - wrote the head of Arianespace on his Twitter .

At the same time, Israel did not mention who provides the launch services - neither Roscosmos, nor the operator of launch services, Glavkosmos , nor the Soyuz rocket, nor the Vostochny cosmodrome.

"We are glad for you," the head of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin wrote to him in a comment.

After the successful completion of the satellite launch, Israel corrected himself, congratulating all the participants, including Russian ones.

“Thanks to the teams of OneWeb, our Starsem partners, and our Russian partners Glavkosmos for helping to make flight ST36 a success!” He wrote.

In the same message, Israel listed all the participants in the launch, both foreign and Russian: Roscosmos, Glavkosmos, RCC Progress (manufacturer of Soyuz rockets) and NPO Lavochkin (manufacturer of Fregat upper stages).

Earlier it was reported that the Russian Soyuz-2.1b rocket and the Fregat upper stage successfully launched all 36 British OneWeb communications satellites into target orbit. This was the 11th launch on behalf of the British satellite operator. Now the OneWeb constellation in orbit is 358 of the planned 648.

The contract between Arianespace and OneWeb for 21 launches of Soyuz rockets from the Baikonur, Vostochny and Kuru cosmodromes was signed in June 2015. In September 2020, OneWeb announced that the number of contracted Soyuz launches had been reduced to 19.

OneWeb devices are designed to create a space communication system that provides high-speed Internet access anywhere on Earth .

OneWeb is set to begin providing commercial satellite communications services in late 2021, and intends to deploy a full first-generation constellation by June 2022.

Fragments of the Soyuz-2.1b rocket were found in the fall areas in the Amur Region and in Yakutia

10/22/2021 22:26

On the territory of the fall areas, work continues to search for fragments of the Soyuz-2.1b carrier rocket, launched from the Vostochny cosmodrome on October 14, 2021. The search group of the Center for Operation of Ground-Based Space Infrastructure Facilities (part of the Roscosmos State Corporation) found all 4 side blocks of the first stage the next day after the launch in the Zeysky District of the Amur Region.

In the area of the fall on the territory of the Kobyaysky ulus of the Republic of Sakha, tanks of fuel, oxidizer and fragments of the second stage propulsion system were found. There, work was also carried out to descend to the foot from an elevation of 1,500 meters of the fuel and oxidizer tanks of the second stage of the Soyuz-2 launch vehicle, which was launched on July 1 as part of mission No. 48 to launch OneWeb spacecraft. The work was carried out in a remote mountainous area. At present, the fragments of the tanks are taken to the village of Sangar for subsequent loading into containers and shipment to the Vostochny cosmodrome.

On the territory of the Aldan region of Yakutia, the search for the flaps of the head fairing of the launch vehicle continues, complicated by the snow that fell the day before. In all areas of the fall on the territory of the Amur Region and Yakutia, environmental samples of snow and soil were taken at monitoring points.

The launch of the Soyuz-2.1b carrier rocket with the Fregat upper stage and 36 OneWeb spacecraft as part of mission 49 took place on October 14, 2021. It was the sixth fully commercial launch from the Vostochny cosmodrome, ordered by the European launch services provider Arianespace and the Russian-French company Starsem for the operator of the innovative satellite constellation OneWeb from the Russian cosmodrome.

Next launch of OneWeb satellites scheduled for late December from Baikonur spaceport.

This year, Roscosmos carried out five OneWeb satellite launches from the Vostochny spaceport in the Russian Far East.

2 NOV, 09:27

MOSCOW, November 2. /TASS/. The next launch of British OneWeb communications satellites from the Baikonur spaceport in Kazakhstan is scheduled for the end of this year, Russia’s federal space agency Roscosmos announced on Tuesday.

"The launch of a Soyuz-2.1b carrier rocket with a Fregat booster and OneWeb satellites is scheduled for the end of December from the Vostok launch pad of the Baikonur Cosmodrome," Roscosmos said in a statement.

A source in the Russian space industry earlier told TASS that the launch of OneWeb satellites was scheduled for December 27.

This year, Roscosmos carried out most of OneWeb satellite launches (five) from the Vostochny spaceport in the Russian Far East. Another two launches were conducted from the Baikonur space center where the Soyuz-2.1b rocket with OneWeb satellites is scheduled to lift off on December 27.

OneWeb’s renewed agreement with the French Arianespace stipulates the lift-off of 16 Russian Soyuz carrier rockets from the Kourou, Vostochny and Baikonur spaceports in 2020-2022. Each launch allows orbiting 34-36 OneWeb satellites. Roscosmos Chief Dmitry Rogozin told reporters on April 9 that the OneWeb first generation cluster would be established in late 2022 - early 2023.

British OneWeb satellites are designed to create a space-based communications system to provide high-speed Internet access in any locality worldwide.
