Can someone deny or confirm my summary, of the Oneweb chaptor11 bancrupty?
Previous years Oneweb designed it's Oneweb LEO comsat network and they contracted subsupliers to build/launch the network.
At the beginning of this year Oneweb needed another funding round, but they couldn't close the funding round. So Oneweb couldn't afford the commitments they made with subcontractors. This was the reason to file the Chaptor 11 bankruptcy.
Oneweb needed to raise more funding and scale down and slow down their constelation roll out plan. Apparently they have succeeded in this.

I think for the UK the fabrication of client flat sat-dishes, is the reason they steped in. Because of Brexit, companies from the UK lost all work related to Galileo recievers. The flat sat dishes for oneweb can replace this work.

About the Russian JV, isn't it just transfered from one to another oneweb subsidiary for legal/financial reasons.?

Every OneWeb satellite is made with a grappling fixture. The fixtures will support a variety of capture techniques for satellite servicing and disposal. This is just one way we are practicing responsible design and operations.

The grapple fixture is Altius Space Machines' DogTag.

I'm not going to complain about them talking more about DogTags. :-)

For constellations like that does your company manufacture all of the tags or license the design (or either depending on the client)?

I don't know what I can or can't say about our existing contracts, but I believe it's public info that Altius is manufacturing DogTags with help from partners like RUAG. For future DogTag customers, our preference would be to keep doing the manufacturing, though we'd also be open to just licensing the tech to a constellation operator if the licensing deal made more sense than building them in-house.

Has anyone asked them yet how much money they put aside to fund the cleanup? Otherwise their investment into responsible operations boils down to Steve spending two minutes with a stapler.

It's been a while since I updated the status of the OneWeb constellation - orbit raising of the first large batch is now almost complete, following a pause during the bankruptcy

I didn’t know these satellites featured things that need to be blurred out in public photos?

Am I the only person who has trouble understanding the first sentence? What does he mean by "had 2 goals is preparing a bid"?

No, you're not the only one. There's a related paywalled article, what I gather is that intelsat was planning to bid for OneWeb for some purposes related to intelsat LEO constellation, then ukgov's move scuttled their plans. But there's no real info so the tweet is kind of useless.

Compensating for a typo, "had 2 goals IN preparing a bid" makes slightly more sense.

Unfortunately, the tweet does not tempt me to pay $99 to get the story behind the tweet.

Bankruptcy to end imminently: @FCC okays transfer of control of @OneWeb's US licenses & market access grants to BidCo (42.2% Bharti, 42.2% @beisgovuk, 12.3% @SoftBank & other creditors). Footnote says terms of @HughesNet's $50m-investment not finalized yet

ITAR can sometimes be strict and unintuitive. (These are built in the U.S. It does not matter that the company is partially owned by a foreign government or that the first sats were built in Europe, there will still be ITAR restrictions.)

Also they may be blurring some things they consider proprietary. For example if they think they have a clever mounting or support structure that enables them to build these quickly and relatively cheaply, and they don't want to make it easy for someone else to copy them.

Do we know anything about next launch and start of service? If they're coming out of bankruptcy they should start paying launch providers again.
