Some trivia about Turkmenistan: The current president is Gurbanguly Mälikgulyýewiç Berdimuhamedow (to remember that) and he was the dentist of the previous president-for-life, Saparmurat Atayevich Niyazov (puh). Niyazov, a.k.a. Turkmenbashi, was surrounded by a weird cult of personality where he did things like building a huge palace made of ice in the desert and renamed the months of the year. The month of April was renamed after his mother and September after a book he wrote.
It would be funny if they renamed the months of the year after GSVs from the Culture series.

Something like: "SpaceX Q2 2015 party - clever title goes here"
Or for simplicity this could be the party thread from now on.... "Clever title goes here party thread"

this is a real 3D printed project someone is working on for the future tourist

Usually, when space newbies get sloshed they also end up quite baffled. But the real problem with micrograv drinking is that if your barback doesn't provide enough ullage you invariably end up with significant spillage. And that's a party foul the world around (or around the world in this case). Just say no to alcohol abuse; drink it without spilling!

Are you sure that isn't a golf tee? Cause it looks like a golf tee to me. Not that that's necessarily a deal breaker. I mean you drink what you can get. I just tend to prefer my drinks to be scaled more for Brobdingnagians than for Lilliputians. With the possible exception of a good old Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster. Dosage on those can be tricky.

Best one - because it's simply and accurate - and not least because it didn't use "Turkey" (a different country) as part of the title, like MANY others did!
Probably the last specific party thread, as the frequency of launches means we'd end up with too many of these diluting the section menu - so make the most of it! Probably will set up a master party thread for several missions at some point, so same mitigation of keeping the main threads solid.
Decision not set in stone. We're a community and the majority wishes always win! Just thinking out loud.
Personally I think the party thread is a reasonable response the desire from the community to engage without adding or seeking more knowledge about the events. In other words, if we eliminate the distinctive party threads we will probably introduce a little more partying to any other specific threads that are created for individual launches.
What we might want to consider is refocusing party threads when the next launch changes (not happened yet, but I bet it does within the next 24 months) as a result of parallel processing where the setback to the next launch no longer gates the subsequent one which will become the next one if any of a number of issues like many we have seen before crop up on one launch's vehicle or payload at the last minute. In other words: only have one party thread anticipating a future launch at time, and if what is being launched next changes, change the title of the party thread.

Over in the discussion threads looks like SpaceX is really hauling @$$ to make it to the party thread on time.
