I see surprisingly little damage. Wish there was more of the rocket.

Looks as if there's something quite large right at the aft, port side, of the deck.

I thought there was more damage than I expected, but difficult to tell from these low res low angle images.

Could be the engine section.

Does the level of damage suggest there was more fuel remaining on board compared to previous RUDs?  ie is the damage due to the higher speed of impact; or increased fuel making the resulting explosion more powerful?

I guess the simple answer might be "both"...

One piece seems stuck in the gap between port aft thruster and wing and other is clearly on wing a bit ahead. Falcon skin once again..

The question is will it be ready for CRS 8, if not, is a landing back at the Cape possible!

The thing I find interesting are the bits hanging over the edge.  They haven't been dragged back on center and tarped.  This tells me that SpaceX is still doing forensics with what they've got on deck and don't want to disturb the pieces yet.  (Alternatively/pessimistically, the bits hanging over are low value/low interest, so no one cares if a rogue wave happens to sweep them away.)

The skin is flopped down like its made of paper. :o

Also there are blue tarps that might be covering something up against the far edge, maybe an engine.

The largest piece must be hundreds of kilos, perhaps they weld it to the deck or use the loops of steel meant to keep the legs in place and weld them around it. Safer than trying to drag it around while at sea.

I was afraid of something like that...  Then the blast wall would have helped contain the damage only to the sensitive areas....

Edit: not that it looks to me like it did, BTW...  Just debris hopped over

It's not heavy, I doubt it would damage a container. Which is heavy.

Yes, i also think the main "kaboom" was on the blast wall and then she fell to the containers.
