Because of the low velocity, the turbine exhaust easily change its direction of flow even in the case of slow descending, as shown in the image above. For high velocity descending, it will be more severe. The exhaust will heat the tank up, will this phenomenom have an impact on reusability?

Of course, it won't occur for closed circle engine(s).

These test flights fire for a long time. A real landing will be only 8 seconds or less. So much less stress.

The RTLS burn will be longer and with three engines but happens high up in very thin atmosphere.

In the restored CRS3 video you can see the turbine flame flapping a bit. It doesn't look as though it would have a more serious effect than blazing through atmo at supersonic speeds.
