Not sure where folks got this barge idea from. SpaceX is going full on old school for this landing.

That'd be a great way to announce SpaceX has conquered Michoud.

Just in case anybody missed this over on the
http://forum.nasaspaceflight.com/index.php?topic=35908.0 thread. This is going to be a fun launch to watch.
Jokes about landing the first stage in the ocean. "Kinda stood there for a bit then tipped over and exploded" (laughter).
Land on a floating platform, or back to the launch site. Need to show we can land with precision over and over again first. Next launch is a chance is on a huge platform in Lousianna. 300 feet long 175 feet wide. F9 Leg span is 60 feet.
Platform will have engines to keep it in place. Not anchored. Try and land on that with CRS-5. 50 percent chance or less of landing on the platform first time.
Dozen launches in next 12 months. 80-90 percent likely one of those flights will land and refly. So we're close.

I have read that the manifest might be adjusted a bit, but nothing about changing the launch date; the ISS is pretty well stocked.
But are the ISS crew going without Christmas gifts and goodies this year?

Everyone always forgets about Rudolph, the center engine.

But it's the second stage engine that appears red-tailed.

Rudolph, the vacuum Merlin
Had a red and shiny bell
And if you ever saw him
Radiating, he did well
All of the other engines
Used to launch, then head to base
They never see poor Rudolph
Who goes onward into space
(I'll stop there...)
