I'm a little late to the party but here is an update.  Everything is going well.  Alexander Skvortsov was first out of the capsule as expected.  Steve Swanson is now out as well.  Both look to be in good shape and good spirits.

Oleg Artemyev will be extracted soon.  Weather is great - mid 50's F and no wind to speak of.  The crew doesn't look weak at all.  Happily chatting with the recovery forces.

Skvortsov took a picture holding an apple and promptly handed it back to recovery forces.  Swanson is looking cool in his shades.

Swanson is eating his apple.  He can be a spokesperson for the apple industry in the future ;)

Nasa 992 is standing by to take Swanson back to Houston.  Nasa TV reports it is harder to get the left seat crew member (Artemyev) out of the capsule as he has to be pulled over the center seat.  Artemyev looks fine and is smiling.

As usual, the crew will be taken by Russian helicopters to Karaganda and then part ways as the Russians fly to Star City and Swanson returns to Houston.

The crew have been making brief phone calls and smelling the flowers picked from the field and presented to them.  Artemyev not only ate an apple but is now holding a watermelon.  He personally requested a watermelon to eat upon his return and so he got one.

EDIT: corrected typos

Crew now beginning to be carried to the medical tent where they will doff their flight suits before getting on the helicopters.  Looks like everyone is having a good time.

One of the windows on the Soyuz looks remarkably clear and not overly smeared by debris from the reentry process.  People are coming by the capsule now to get their picture taken with it and to peer into the windows of the upright vehicle.  Can't say I blame them.

One of the landing replays showed good views of the capsule immediately after landing.  I think it even showed the parachute being separated but I was looking away for a moment and only caught a brief glimpse.

Why and how is someone in Kazakhstan wearing US DCUs (dessert camouflage uniform)?  :o
Best quote heard during an inspection, "I was unaware that I was the only one who was aware."
