Yes, you read this correctly. A 1/12 scale Apollo Command Module with amazing details. Paper model designer Ken L. West has made an incomparable scale model which can be taken apart to show all the parts it was made of. The BPC/LES can be taken off the outer hull, which itself can be removed to show the pressure vessel. The pressure vessel can be taken off the heat shield to show the crew quarters, the couches, the instrument panel and the tunnel to the LM. The hatch is a little model in itself. The test build was done by Billy Leliveld and he had professional pictures made to show off its beauty:

And yes, it's all paper. The outer hull is made of chrome coated paper.
It is available on
Ecardmodels
but mind you, it is a very big and elaborate model. difficutly 5/5.
I just downloaded it myself and I think it is going to take me a lot of time to get it done. But In my opinion this is the ultimate space model ever made.
The whole story of the design and the build process is
here
in a thread on the Papermodelers.com forum but you have to be logged in to see pictures, I am afraid.
Nevertheless I just wanted you all to know that this is available.
have fun building!
Edit/Lar: Took image tags off... these images are oversize, better to attach them or just give links

Whoa. I might get this model. I haven't built a card model for a few years, but I'll look into getting back into these kits, especially since I can build them entirely indoors with no painting.

I'll even excitedly look forward to "flags and footprints" and suborbital missions. Just fly...somewhere.
