Hey, it's never too late to blame autocorrect.

10 days to lunch (and possibly also launch) and we've gone a week without a post in the party thread?
What's wrong? Are we all depressed due to the apparent setbacks to pad exploration?
Well, fear not; I've heard rumors that, since the Falcon 9 V1.1 has proven unsuitable for pad exploration (it can't manage to stay put) there's soon to be a rocket better suited than any other for pad exploration, and Pad is going to buy it!
It'll also be optimized for cost-effectiveness!
No longer will pad exploration be endangered by the looming specter of the rocket doing a noisy, vertical retreat from the pad. They'll simply build it without main engines, thus optimizing for both cost and pad exploration (engines are expensive).
For revenue, they'll be doing pay-per-view live webcasts 24/7 of the ongoing exploration.
Exciting times!

I think Mr. Musk should open a launch viewing restaurant at each of pads for the growing tidal wave of SpaceX fans. Could be a great way to fund future R&D. The chain would of course be called - LunchX and feature F9R shaped hot dogs and Raptor snow cones!
Um.. okay, so restraints are probably off topic... Its just that all this talk about lunching rockets is making me hungry.

I wonder how the SpaceX launch traffic compares to the traffic during the last few Shuttle launches?

It's not a return of the booster launch but v1.1 is still such a new vehicle as are Comsat launches for SpaceX that each launch is a thrill.
Continued success whether it's an extendible or reusable test is key for all of us space fans.
But I'm not waking up for this one. I'll catch the YouTube when I wake up.
When they televise the launch split screen with a RTLS of the booster I will certianly be up for that.

Spin up a pile of AWS servers around the globe for the big event and take 'em down when it's over, perhaps?

Yeah, it's the 21st century, use the clouds

But I doubt AS6 would get the same attention as AS8, AS8 is special: It's their heaviest GTO launch so far, with the shortest turn around time, also right after the scrubfest that is OG2.

Yup, for the argumentive members, that get carried away & don't know when to stop.
But to protect the servers, from visitors at Launch time, I would suggest, the LEGO Machine Gun.
